Loit – Pin

I'm gonna take inspirated Loit. Yesterday she confirmed easy win from 1st round where she dismantled Eva Birnerova (6:1 6:1). Second round match was by far bigger task cos defending champion – Bartoli was waiting on other side of net. But this didn't bother her too much. With consistent and confident performance she deserved opportunity to play in QF. She is in really good shape at the moment and everything works out as it should. Good serve, playing well from baseline and doing nice job on net. Was playing on tricky way and Bartoli was losing her mind … I see same scenario today. And BTW Loit also have another ally – windy conditions.

Loit: "I like it when it's windy especially with my sliced backhand. I think it is very difficult to play against me when it's windy. I would like to play everyday with the wind."

Only dark moment came at the end of match when she was in position to serve it out but few DF's cost her a break. Still she stay calm enough and made a rebreak which assured her opportunity to prove her recenty good form in QF's where I rate her as a favourite against 'soft' hitter – Pin.

Pin lost a set against Meusburger which didn't happen on previous four occasions. She was somehow lost at the beginning but later on she regroup herself and took following two sets. Maybe this time she succeded but solid and experienced Loit should cause more problems and it will be tough to handle all of them. I don't like Pin's style of playing while i love fact that Loit is lefty which is advantage and sometimes allows her to play cats and mice games.

Their confrontation is not old enough and memories should still be fresh. It was on US Open and yes, Loit won it (after tough fight). Considering she was not playing much since Wimbledon (only one match) and Pin's good run of results on ITF tournaments in US (three tournaments three finals) i guess Loit's win was positive and i believe she can prove it again. This time with only one difference – it could be easier.

Jankovic - Daniilidou

Till now Jankovic hasn't have any special problems (despite arriving late). Both wins against Schruff and Laine were clean – didn't need to sweat. Today she will face Daniilidou and i believe she will go trough without any problems. Simply, her strokes down the line should be too much for Greek player. Daniliidou is moving too slow so Jelena should prevail. Was lucky enough to overcome Erankovic. Can't see it happening against Jankovic, not with that kind of performance.
